• LNWR Birmingham and West Midlands

The eleventh volume of John Swift’s layout plans of the 1950s also stays with the London & North Western Railway theme by exploring the West Midlands starting with the loop from Rugby via Birmingham New Street to Wolverhampton and Stafford.

The various branch lines and alternative routes included in this volume are Weedon and Rugby to Leamington Spa, Coventry and Nuneaton, the Coventry avoiding line, the (cross city north) line to Lichfield, lines to Soho and Harborne and round the Walsall area to Rugeley.

Also within this volume are the lines from Stafford to Wellington and Coalport, and from Crewe to Harlescott Crossing just north of Shrewsbury.

If you are not sure whether the location that interests you is in this volume or a different one, a combined index of all the locations in the series can be downloaded from our main web site entirely free of charge.

This is an A4 card covered book with, generally, more than 1 diagram per page.
