Undertake editing, checking and processing of manuscripts, articles, news items and other material. Get them into a form ready to be used in our journals and other publications. Identify the need for additional work and more or better illustrations.

Designer
Someone who can take hand-drawn sketches, diagrams, charts and maps and prepare them for publication using computer aided design (CAD) or sketch system.

We need someone who can seek out photographs and other suitable illustrations for use with articles in our journals or in our books.

Laid Out
An opportunity for someone who likes to lay out publication and book pages ready for publication.

Forum Abstractor
Our members Forum is where our members ask questions and other members answer them. We need someone who can go through these question and answer trails and abstract information for publication in our journals for the wider benefit of us all.

Article Commissioner
The Editor of our journals needs a good variety of articles covering a wide range of signalling aspects and geographic spread.
Are you the person we need to contact budding authors and our corresponding members and encorage them to write articles about the things they are most passionate about - the subjects they are researching?

Magazine Digester
No, we don't want you to eat your words, but we do need someone who can list out signalling content from commercially published magazines and the journals of other societies and send it in for inclusion in our journals.
Could this be something you could do? You won't be copying out the articles, just telling who has published them and where.

Museum Correspondent
We need someone to who can keep an eye on the railway museum sector and keep us informed of what signalling exhibiting activity is taking place.
Could you identify out-reach opportunities with the museum fraternity?

Patch Surveyors
We need people who can survey their “local patch” and record the signalling currently there before it disappears in the next round of modernisation or replacement activity.

Social Media Activist
Do you spend time of Facebook - or Twitter - or Instagram - or one of the other social media platforms?

We need someone who enjoys the interactive nature of social media communication to quietly promote our interests and report back conversations of interest to our members. Could this be you?
